To put it simply, Malakism is a religion that worships angels. The word "Malak" is derived from Arabic, meaning "Angel", and "Ism" is derived from the Latin word "Ismus". Malakism is a belief system in which you believe Angels are watching over you. Not nessecarily from Heaven, just from above, whatever that may entail. Malakists believe that when you die, you get to watch over a particular person from above, and that person is assigned to you by Milak Alraasa, derived from the Arabic phrase "milak alraas", meaning Head Angel. There aren't many "sins" in Malakism, but there are a few. Discourtesy is the main one, Milak Alraasa believes that everybody should be kind and courteous towards one another, unless that person has intentionally harmed you in the past. Milak Alraasa believes that every human is created equally, and should be treated equally, therefore, if somebody harms you, you have the right to get your sweet revenge on them. Milak Alraasa loves everybody equally, and thinks everybody deserves a chance at life, no matter your appearance or personality. How would you go about praying to Milak Alraasa? The answer is, you don't. Not directly to her. She believes that all people, and in this case, angels, are equal, and if you want to pray to her, you need to pray to all the angels.
